Does the job, but hate the smell.
Does the job ok of taming down the beard. Just hate the smell of it. Unfortunately it’s an it’s an item that can’t be returned.

Great Beard Oil
It works! I’ve been using this oil for almost 7 months now and the difference is noticeable. As confirmed by my wife, my beard is much softer. No more itchy skin, and no more beard dandruff. It has a light scent to it that I don’t even notice anymore. Just ordered my second bottle, and will order again.

Don’t spill it!
I’ve spilled the oil on my nightstand by accident only a couple drops and the next morning I noticed the area was covered with ants, it happened on more than one occasion so just a heads up. Apart from that the product is awesome.

Good product, awkward scent
I love this brands beard balm, so I figured I’d give the beard oil a try. It has good consistency and viscosity, where it’s thick and not water oil that’ll dry fast upon application. My main issue is that to me it smells like raw mushrooms. I would rate have no scent or at least something refreshing. But I can’t because all I smell are mushrooms all day. Ao this is a no for me moving forward.

Best Oil
Got this a few times now and it’s really good. Tried a few others like Every Man Jack and I honestly prefer Honest Amish. Really shines the beard and makes it soft. Got a bunch of compliments because of the shine. Would recommend this to anyone with any size beard.

I can finally grow a beard without itchiness, flakes, irritated skin, or brittle/coarse hairs
A little bit of background: I would always grow a beard for several weeks to months, since I look pretty terrible without one, then get frustrated with the endless sea of flakes, the unruly curls, and the coarseness that inevitably sprang up. You see, I was cursed with the triple threat of eczema, very coarse hair, and oily skin (on top of the dry skin from my eczema). I was getting married in a couple of weeks when I bought this product, and I definitely wanted to have a full beard, but I didn’t want the flakes or the red skin or the unkempt appearance. I’d tried some different beard oils in the past that I’d found in grocery stores, as well as eczema creams, but the oils did nothing, while the creams were useless on my beard area because of my thick, coarse hair.So, I looked for alternatives. I saw the very high rating for this product (and the Honest Amish Beard Balm, which I’ll cover in a separate review) and was skeptical yet hopeful. Many reviewers stated that it helped reduce or even eliminate flaking in their beards, and also made their facial hair more smooth and soft to the touch. I figured I’d give it a shot since it certainly was less expensive than a lot of the failed remedies I’d tried, but I figured there’d be a moderate improvement at best.Boy, was I wrong. I used to be able to shake an endless sea of beardruff from my facial hair, but using this beard oil regularly hasn’t yielded moderate results… it’s yielded AMAZING results. The flakes are almost entirely gone (we’re talking single digits) and easily manageable with combing. My beard doesn’t feel itchy in my skin any more. The hairs themselves are softer to the touch and easier to manage. Even the scent is nice, in my opinion (it’s a bit woodsy, which makes sense if you look at the ingredients; I find it really comforting and not too strong, though the fragrance fades quickly and there seems to be a no fragrance option if that worries you). About half of the dropper is generally enough for me to apply the oil to my entire beard, which is fairly thick and has an average length of 7/8 of an inch.I also have the misfortune of having flaky skin beneath my bushy eyebrows, so I started using just a single drop on each eyebrow regularly. There’s been a similar improvement there.So, long story short, I was able to grow and maintain the beard that looks best on my face without the usual discomfort or embarrassment. I can’t recommend this product enough. It’s really rare that I feel so strongly about a product that I want to say this, but I’d love to shake the hands of the people who make this beard oil and thank them. (My wife’s a fan, too.)

Good quality oil, interesting scent.
The price and product quality seem to be great, however I don’t really care for the scent. It is not off putting but it’s not something I would buy again.Edit: after using the product for some time, the scent has grown on me. However it is still definitely a strange one.

Lightweight oil, not greasy
I like the fact that the oil is absorbed by my beard, it’s not greasy, I don’t break out from it like I have with other beard oils. The smell is not strong, mildly earthy, not horrible. I like that my beard looks healthy, not itchy, it also helps keep it neater and controlled. Glad I found something that actually works.

I still buy it, even after my beard left me.
I can still picture myself: standing before the mirror, eyes wide as I take in the damage I just did to my pride and joy. A trimming accident gone wrong, to which my feverish attempts at a rescue left me filling the sink with more and more frantic trimming. At the end of what seemed like a small infinity, I stood in shock, staring into the reflection at those red eyes bravely holding back tears, the tan and weathered brow and cheekbones with fresh, baby-pink cheeks, chin and jaw beneath. All was not lost though, lads! My trusty dirt-squirrel survived and has been braving the elements with me beneath the ol’ snout, living off the froth from my beer and sauce from my spaghett. And this mustache must last!I try to take good care of my facial scruff (since the good ol’ mop-on-top decided to migrate south and start growing everywhere else, it’s sorta all I have left). I wash it regularly and use beard oil to keep it purdy and keep my face from itchin’. I’ve tried many beard oils, but since getting Honest Amish I’ve just stuck with it. It’s not heavily scented – I got cologne for that if I’m trying to attract my mate, but it still smells pleasant and earthy. It’s also full of wonderful, natural ingredients and doesn’t have all that other hoot-nanny that will turn your face into a nuclear wasteland. The Amish are long and highly respected masters of the beard, and you feel that old woody wisdom when you’re soothing your own chinstrap with this concoction. A little goes a long way, and it lasts quite a while.Now that my beard left me, I still buy this stuff and use it every day! The oils and ingredients in Honest Amish are also so good for your skin, that I broom it across the ol’ Sheriff for a bit, then take a wee bit and rub it into my face, polish the dome, and whatever’s left into my elbows and knees where I get dry. A lil tip between me and you, buckaroo: a little beard and skin care goes a really long way, and you don’t need anything fancy or any crazy long grooming routine. The ladies love a man who looks after himself (even if, like me, you prefer a more rugged and “down to earth” look), and this here Honest Amish will breathe life into your beard and your skin for a great price, without doing any long term chemical damage to your skin.Hell yeah, brother

Pretty Good
I thought I’d give it a try based on the reviews. It’s good. I like the scent and the cost compared to what I’ve been using was very appealing. I don’t like it as much as my normal brand (Johnny Slicks), but it is much more cost effective. If you haven’t tried it, it’s certainly worth a try to see if it’s the brand for you!

Light scent
I have used it a few times. It has a light scent. It is made with oils that should keep my short beard soft and my skin from drying out after a shower. I don’t normally have the issue in the warmer months.

Believe the Hype
Just received my bottle of Honest Amish Classic Beard Oil and used it for the first time. This is already, EASILY, the best beard oil I have ever used. It absorbs really, really well. It’s almost hard to use too much. There’s no oil that comes close to this in terms of ingredients (at least not reasonably priced ones, I don’t care about $30+). I totally understand why the smell is polarizing. It smells exactly like clove and does linger just a little. Personally, I don’t love the scent, but it comes as a result of the oils being used. For me, the smell is definitely worth putting up with. This is my new favorite beard oil and if I try anything else, it will be their premium. Believe the hype, this stuff is GOOD!

The Honest Amish Classic Beard Oil is really nice and I’m happy with the product.This beard oil does a Great job of keeping my facial hair hydrated and soft throughout the day. The blend of natural oils used in its formulation nourishes my facial hair and leaves it soft and slightly shiny.One of my favorite aspects of this beard oil is its ability to tame and control unruly facial hair. It helps to reduce my frizz and adds a natural shine to my beard, making it easier to style and maintain a well-groomed appearance.While the scent of the honest Amish classic beard, oil is generally well liked, scent preferences can vary from person to person. It has a strong licorice sent that lasts for a couple hours usually. Some might find the scent too strong… if you don’t like licorice or the smell of it… this oil is not for you. Might be beneficial for the brand to offer a wider variety of sense to cater to different preferences.Overall, the oil is a high-quality product that excels in moisturizing, and styling aspects, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to elevate their beard. I definitely will be buying more when I run out.

Messy…
The Honest Amish beard oil is thick, sticky, and messy and hard to wash off your hands after application. It did seem to soak in to my beard after awhile. I’m afraid if getting the remaining oil on my shirts, pillows, etc. It does seem to help with my beard itch.Looking at the oils in this product I would not be surprised if it has a shelf-life, so best to use it up sooner rather than Later. The scent is an acquired taste, but at least it is light, and seems to wear off after an hour or so, probably depending on how much has been applied. I only have a goatee.I don’t think I will buy again unless I can figure out how to use it without making a mess.

I originally bought a brand of beard “jelly” that left my beard looking greasy..I had people comment that it looked wet. I bought the Honest Amish Beard oil and it works great! It softens and moisturizes my beard without leaving it looking and feeling greasy. I heard some people don’t enjoy the smell but I like it. I bought some of their beard balm too. Also great stuff.
